The first evaluation with a Riegl scanner together with the GeoTracker system was done already 15 years ago. At this time, mobile laser scanning technology was new and there were no Mobile Mapping customers willing to take on the extra costs that came with this high-end scanner.

For some time now, the market has been demanding higher relative measurement accuracy and point density. Naturally, this means that interest from our customers has increased significantly.

The integration consisted mostly of development on the software side and the evaluation resulted in a functioning GeoTracker software that worked excellently both when collecting data and georeferencing Riegl rxp-files in GeoTracker Office.

With this step, GeoTracker is ready for the development of a new platform based on multiple Riegl scanners.
